Rory Sliding Shower Door Installation

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: What if there are no studs where I need to install my shower door?

A: If you discover your wall doesn’t have studs or the studs aren’t in the correct spot for the shower door system (as outlined in Step 7 of the Delta® Rory shower door system installation guide), it's important to stop the installation immediately and contact the Customer Experience Team for assistance.

Proper stud placement is required to ensure your shower door works safely and correctly.  Without them, the work may not work correctly, and you will void the product warranty. We recommend considering an alternative model that doesn’t require studs, like the Delta® Ashmore shower door system.

Q: What measurements do I need to check before installing the Delta® Rory Shower Door System?

A: Before you begin installation, make sure your space meets all the requirements listed on the front cover of the Rory shower door installation instructions. This includes checking the height, width, sill depth, and that both side walls are within 3/8 inch (0.95 cm) of vertical (plumb).

If your walls or threshold are outside these limits, the shower door system will not work properly, and your warranty could be voided.

Not sure if your space works? Contact the Delta Customer Experience Team before starting. We’re here to help.

Q: How do I ensure the shower doesn’t leak water?

A: Before starting installation, it's important to check that your space is level and plumb.

The Delta® Rory shower door system is designed for smooth operation and excellent water retention. It includes side blade seals for vertical water retention where the glass panels meet the walls and at the intersection of the shower door system.

Proper installation of these seals - and all other parts - is key to keeping water where it belongs.

To ensure a good seal, make sure to lower the sliding glass panels using the adjustment holes on the four roller bracket assemblies. Also, place the inside door on the same side as the shower head, as directed in the installation instructions.
